The presentation will cover the pearls of writing for publication, including how to choose a journal, choose a subject, identify the scope of your article, format of your article, how to start writing, the basics of scholarly writing, choosing references, what to expect from the peer review process, and resources available to authors through the JDNA.

Identify 3 evidence-based barriers to publication for nurses and mitigation strategies.
Identify at least 3 resources available to them through the JDNA to assist with drafting a manuscript.
Define what a collaborative mentor is and the importance of engaging other clinical staff.
