Workshop Description:
The Aesthetics Course has been developed for the new or experienced dermatology care provider (NP, RN, LPN, MA, and Office Staff). It offers continuing education to nurses and healthcare professionals, emphasizing both the basics of cosmetic dermatology, as well as new and innovative therapies. Diverse experts in cosmetic dermatology will offer education on topics including patient selection, consultation, and education; neurotoxins and fillers; laser therapies including pulsed dye, fractionated nonablative, and laser therapy for tattoos, hair, and transgender care; as well as other injectables and energy devices that can be utilized.

Learning Objectives:
Describe current, common procedures for cosmesis in dermatology including laser procedures, injectable procedures, and other dermatologic cosmetic procedures.
Review the current methods of delivery of these procedures including safety, risks, benefits, and other patient considerations.
Discuss patient selection, consent, quality, competency and other considerations specific to deliver of aesthetic procedure in dermatology.
